Superintendent's Office

On behalf of the Governing Board, and staff, I welcome you to Winslow Unified School District #1 “ALL IN”

WUSD #1 is a great district.  We have approximately 325 employees who each work diligently in their jobs.  Our student population of about 1950, K-12, has a medley of talents, dreams, and ambitions. The 5 seat Governing Board has set a high bar of excellence and focus.

This 2019-2020 school year, we are excited and looking forward to great things.  We have a new leadership at the high school.  The administrative team worked hard this summer assessing existing programs in each school for effectiveness and making plans to implement new ones that will be better where necessary. We have all set goals that that coincide the Governing Board’s and will ensure that we can meet them or at least keep moving forward with progress.

We will do our best to provide: high quality instruction; fair discipline; skilled teachers who know students’ dreams, needs and strengths and provide them with the best education possible; families and community members engaged and connected with schools to help students develop.

The key thing I, myself, continue focus on providing a district office staff that provides great customer service to our five schools for our students, parents, and community members.

School districts have many moving parts.  It takes more than 1 person to make a successful year.  I can promise you, that each one of us working in this district will do our very best all the time.  We are ALL IN!!  We will be available and listen.  We will strive to make the very best decisions every day.

Again, it is a pleasure to serve as Superintendent.  If you have any questions or comments about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact me.  I encourage you to visit our website and Facebook often for upcoming events and information.

School begins Monday, August 5, 2019.
