Teacher Compensation

• Starting salary is $42,000
• 182 day contract
• Sick leave plan
• Prop 301 money estimated at $4,500 pre school year
• Compensation for highly qualified teachers in high demand areas:
  • $1500 for Special Education - High Needs
  • $1000 for Special Education - Inclusion
  • WJHS and WHS Core: Math, English, Science ($1000 - $2000 dependent upon certification)
• Paid professional development prior to an during the school year
• Opportunities for additional pay as an after school tutor, club leader or athletics coach, and/or teaching summer school
• Class size stipend
• Mentoring program
• Salary increase with additional education
• Salary placement increase with teaching experience
